NEAR WORTHINGTON, MINNESOTA - I-90
Open year-round, Interstate 90 in Minnesota is 276 miles and traverses the southern side of the state, parallel to the Minnesota-Iowa state line. The route connects the cities of Worthington, Albert Lea, and Austin.

More I-80 passenger side photos in Nebraska. Not sure if any of these will work for paintings but perhaps they might spark some more ideas like last time. Also I figured out how to adjust the shutter speed so some of these aren’t so blurry in the immediate foreground (still learning slr stuff, I know), so there’s that.
And if you’re ever in Grand Island, Neb., make sure to catch a bite at Tommy’s Restaurant. The pie was incredibly delicious. -
Along Colorado Hwy 71 (Lincoln, Washington and Morgan counties) January 10, 2013
Drove from Limon up to Brush, Colo., on the way back home from a trip to Denver. Here are some photos taken on the road (still working out the settings of my new camera). Eastern Colorado has an interesting landscape and a lot of the features actually are somewhat similar to some ideas I’ve been having for my latest painting. It also reminded me of a photo series Peter Brown did called “West of Last Chance”. Not only from the landscape but also because the second to last photo in this set is from Last Chance, Colo., (the one with the rusted car and shed). Pretty nifty, eh?
